Hold Me Tight Workshop
At this weekend workshop, you are going to learn about a well researched and empirically validated theory that helps us to understand why we have conflict in relationships and how to bring about repair and deepen emotional connection. Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy recognizes that couples are doing the best that they can to be emotionally attached to each other even in the midst of conflict. Unfortunately, the strategies that we use during conflict cause more distance and we cannot discern what our partners are feeling or wanting. The Hold Me Tight Workshop will guide you and your partner through seven private conversations that capture the defining moments in a love relationship. Through these conversations we will show you how to shape these defining moments to create a secure and lasting bond. At the workshop, we will share the highlights of Attachment Theory and how it can help you and your partner to understand your relationship better. We will show you video samples of real couples engaging in each of these conversations, and then you will have the opportunity to try it on your own with the assistance and support of your workshop leaders , Dr. Sam Jinich and other trained therapist helpers. Join Sam at a Couple's Workshop based on the EFT Model: Hold Me Tight Workshop!
Please note that Dr. Sam Jinich has no available Hold Me Tight Workshops for 2023. The Hold Me Tight book and the Hold Me Tight Workshop offer a revolutionary new way to see and shape love relationships. The stories, new ideas and exercises offered in Hold Me Tight are based on the new science of love and the wisdom of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT).
EFT is a short-term, structured approach to marital and couples therapy. Empirical and experiential research has supported the effectiveness of EFT showing that 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and about 90% show significant improvements (the best results of any couple therapy) and evidence shows that these positive effects last over time. Presently EFT is being used with diverse couples from various cultures around the world in private practice, university training centers and hospital clinics.
The outstanding success rate of this approach has been heralded in scientific journals, the New York Times and Time magazine. Hold Me Tight was a Finalist for the Books For a Better Life Award. Hold Me Tight has now been translated in German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Hungarian, Taiwanese Chinese, mainland Chinese and Korean, and is in press in French, Russian, Greek, Turkish, and Japanese. Nominated as one of the Excellent Books by The Republic of Korea Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism Often listed as a best seller on the Wall Street Journal under "Relationships" and often as a best seller on Amazon under various categories
